NHC HealthCare, Fort Sanders has been recognized as one of the 2017-18 Best Nursing Homes by U. S. News & World Report. A total of twenty-four NHC affiliates have received this recognition.

NHC donates $300K to Alzheimer's researchMURFREESBORO - National HealthCare Corporation was recently honored by the Alzheimer's Association for its efforts to raise support for the organization, according to a news release. "We are pleased to announce that NHC's national team raised $312,130.41 in 2015, which is a 46 percent increase over our fundraising efforts in 2014," said Melinda Vance, NHC's national team coordinator . . .

A donation to Pellissippi State Community College (PSCC) by local East Tennessee affiliates of NHC is earmarked for the purchase of state-of-the-art teaching equipment and to fund laboratory simulation equipment for the college's nursing degree program. NHC continues to provide many opportunities for these students.
